Dream it.
It all begins with an idea or a thought as it did for me. When I first got aware of the problem, I saw cigarette butts everywhere and then I just coulden´t unsee the problem again. I wondered why no one had done anything about it yet and how I as an individual could change the smokers habits.
Build it.
Instead of being irritated about the problem I wanted to do something active. I thought about it for a while and then I decided to make artwork out of the cigarette butts that I collected, because I wanted to make people aware of the problem.
Grow it.
It all began with an idea and suddenly my messages spread all over the world. People took pictures of my artwork and shared it with their network and startede to debate about it. I got a lot of attention in then media. Interviews in the radio and television and article in the news. A hobby went into something more. A creative project to share with the world. No matter how small a simple initiative, it can also make a difference.
